Popular Area Wellness Spa Will Host Grand Opening Bash to Celebrate Relocation, Expansion
ELIZABETHTOWN, PA, August 10th – Kairos Massage & Skincare will host a grand opening celebration on Friday, September 8th from 5pm to 9pm at its new location at 118 S. Cherry Alley, Elizabethtown (back of what was previously the Lynden Gallery building). The event coincides with Elizabethtown’s Second Friday and will include live music, refreshments, drawings and giveaways, chair massage, free skin consultations and discounts on products and services. Join Kairos in celebrating the spa’s move from its smaller space on East High Street to a wellness center with nearly 1600 square feet, boasting retail and relaxation areas, three massage treatment rooms, a room for facials and waxing and an event space for spa parties.
“What started with one therapist renting a room has over the years blossomed into a strong, small business dedicated to providing a service unlike any other available in this industry or area,” says Kairos Massage and Skincare owner Carissa Ressler. “Kairos’ goal is not only to provide wellness options for the community, but to provide a healthy and uplifting place to work for its therapists and skincare professionals in an industry rife with burnout.”
The name Kairos derives from the Greek word, meaning “opportunity, season or fitting time.” Ressler wove the business’s motto around this theme: “The right time is right now.” She believes that when a person practices self-care, they can better care for their family and the world around them.
Kairos won third place in Lancaster County Magazine’s 2017 Reader’s Choice poll, the reasons resting in the details. The spa radiates warmth and charm. From the diffused aromas wafting through the air to
the cozy fireplace in the couple’s room, the ambiance simulates a healing oasis. Whether seeking pain-relief or pampering, Kairos has a therapeutic service for everyone. Choose from a lengthy list of specialized bodywork including deep tissue and trigger point therapies, prenatal massage, oncology massage, reflexology and more. Melt tension away with hot stone and warm bamboo treatments. Learn proper skincare practices from Kairos’ Dermalogica-certified estheticians as worries and impurities are gently scrubbed away. Breathe in the complimentary aromatherapy included with each massage and facial.
“Our staff has a wide background of expertise that makes each session feel customized […],” says Kairos manager, licensed massage therapist and certified aromatherapist Amanda Smith. “What I really love though, is that we keep our prices as affordable as possible to make such beneficial massage and skincare available to everyone for regular maintenance.”
In gratitude, Kairos gives back to the community, partnering with Etown Public Library, Hershey Ronald McDonald House, Pitties Love Peace and more. (A complete list can be found on the company’s website.)
Appointments with Kairos Massage & Skincare professionals can be made during the grand opening, as well as by phone at 717-617-7779, via email at [email protected], or by booking online at the company’s website, www.kairosmassagetherapy.org.
